Once more you impressed with your expertise by repairing a family keepsake against all the odds with the help of your team who found a way to protect the pearl during the repair process, which seemed an impossible task. If that was not enough, the pearl pendant was beautifully cleaned & presented.
Thanks also again for the lovely surprise by turning the remaining ring (stones already removed & set into the stunning pendant created earlier) into a surprise pair of earings.

Staring at a box of unworn jewellery ………..
I didn’t have a lot of jewellery but I did have some nice pieces.
The problem was I didn’t wear them. An emerald in an
old-fashioned setting, a diamond earring without its pair. Some beautiful Tahitian pearls but on too short a rope. A teenage necklace of delicate white pearls that was too young for me now.
I was destined to pass my jewellery on to my two daughters. Then they would stare at a box of unworn jewellery…………
Instead, I took my jewellery to Cathy Stephens in Groby to be remodelled.
I now have a fabulous emerald ring. It is a version of a ring Cathy designed a long time ago. The stone is offset by the lonely diamond and the mount includes my wedding ring which I rarely wore.
My daughters now have long drop earrings that have used some of my Tahitian pearls as have my friends Hannah and Rosie. The designs are individual to each person.
My pretty white pearl necklace has been lengthened with perfect matching pearls and is now much worn.
Friend Jenny opted to have her diamond earrings given a new lease of life with a couple of my pearls
Cathy used some pearls and the original clasp to create a striking bracelet
The whole experience of Cathy designing and remodelling my jewel was a personal and enjoyable experience. I would encourage anyone to take a fresh look at unworn jewellery

Having reached the stage of “use it or loose it” I was amazed by the result.
Who would have thought that an old pendant already previously turned into a broach and stones from 2 rings (the metal had already gone from one ring) can become a piece of art.

I have been looking for a couple of years for someone to design a piece or pieces of Jewellery for the blue lace agate stones. They are among the first (probably the first successful) stones my husband cut when he took up lapidary seriously and we set them in the settings you saw. For many years they have sat in a Jewellery box unworn and looking forlorn, waiting to be set in something worthy. Meeting Charlene at the Bakewell lapidary show in October was the chance that led us to you and eventually your design of my necklace. I was delighted with the drawing Charlene brought to show me and after some thought about cost, decided to go ahead with the project. Mike, my husband kept the finished necklace hidden until Christmas so the first time I saw the finished work was on Christmas morning and I was really pleased with the result and couldn’t wait to wear the necklace. I have worn it twice so far and really felt comfortable wearing it and showing it off to everyone, it’s a lovely design and I’m very impressed with the silver work you produced, it enhances the stones beautifully and the necklace has now become my “heirloom” piece of Jewellery that I shall enjoy wearing at every opportunity.

Good evening, I just need to thank the lovely staff, Charlene, Sharon, and the guy I spoke to on the phone,for the fabulous service you have given over the last couple of months,to help me make a decision on choosing a ring in memory of my late mother.
After losing mum last year I decided that I would love to purchase a ring in her memory. After looking at the regular high street jewellers, I really struggled to enthuse as to what I was looking for.
I am not one for jewellery at the best of times, and as much as the very blingy stuff looks lovely, it wasn’t for me.
